Well as you may have read from previous posts I suffer from constant stomach inflammations. So after the last bad experience I seemed to get better, then bam! My knee injury, this proved to be extremely painful and required medication, which once again flared up the tummy. So off to the doctors we went and it now seems I have Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
To understand it better here is an explanation extracted from the web.
Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is the bacteria responsible for most ulcers and many cases of stomach inflammation (chronic gastritis).
The bacteria can weaken the protective coating of the stomach, allowing digestive juices to irritate the sensitive stomach lining.
If you are a carrier of H. pylori, you may have no symptoms. If you have an ulcer or gastritis, you may have some of the following symptoms:
Bloating and fullness
Dyspepsia or indigestion
Feeling very hungry 1 to 3 hours after eating
Mild nausea (may be relieved by vomiting)
Risk factors include being over 45 or having symptoms such as:
Unexplained weight loss
So now I am confined to a plain diet during the treatment which is no fun I have lost all interest in food and it seems inspiration to develop a bland menu. To make it worse the knee injury turned out quite serious and this requires me to be taking meds which I am sure disagree with my tummy. All in all a walking wreck…..no make that limping wreck. Thank heavens it is winter and I have an excuse not to be active!
